Mug Shots

Jen's wedding reception pictures are up!  They can all be found at http://perlphoto.com/ , go there and click on "Mark and Jennifer's Reception".  All in all not bad, but here are the ones I liked:

I know the initial reaction is to look at Will, but what is Grace doing?
After that they both got serious:
And what says wedding reception like Christmas trees?
Ah yes, it was a celebration of many things that night, all the gals got all done up and posed together:

We were there to celebrate something...Oh yeah, these two:
How cute this happy couple is...or are they happy?
Jen seems to have her doubts.

Lots of kids got together from the Jung and Jew sides of the family:
And then even some of the older kids posed for the first time in a long time:
Believe it or not, that is Auntie Betty's real smile!  This was actually the first time she met little Will.  He basically had the same reaction all of us do:
Other families joined the party:

And friendships were renewed:
And cousins reminisced:
But more importantly the bride and groom had fun:

I would say let's do it again, but that's probably bad luck in this case.

Growing up yet staying the same

A year and a bit has passed so it was time for another doctor visit for Will.  He measured in at 21.5 lbs. and 30 inches tall.  About the same as his last visit but a little taller.  Alas he is no longer in the 90th percentile in height and weight.  His Asian heritage is kicking in and he is in the 50's and 60's now.

He is also growing up at daycare.  He got a letter from the director at the daycare asking to setup a meeting to talk about his transition to the next class up.  He has to clear out of that room since he can walk now, here's the letter:
Yep, they love Will over at the daycare.  Apparently they know him really well too as you can see by the name in the upper right corner...let me blow it up for you:

I am so proud of my child Willow Junk.  Perhaps they mistook him for another person named Willow?

Willow Smith cause he whips his hair back?
Willow from Buffy because he's a lesbian?
Or Willow from 'Willow' because he's a freaky short person?

Take your pick, but none are really flattering in any way shape or form.  I'm not even sure how the Junk part came about and don't want to think how it came about.  Junk in my trunk?  Okay I'll stop.

As Will grows up, he still reverts back sometimes to his good old activities:

WARNING:  Nudity!

Pictures Galore

It's that time of year I suppose.  When mothers go crazy with their kids taking every opportunity in the world to take a formal picture.  Will has already been subjugated to a flurry of flash bulbs only rivaled by the paparazzi's obsession with Brangalina.  So without further adieu here are Will's school pictures:

Now if you're thinking to yourself, man Will looks out of it, then you wouldn't be too far from the truth.  These were taken the day we got back from St. Croix.  We got back at 5am and we all went straight to work , or in this case daycare.  He didn't sleep much so he didn't feel like smiling.  Can you blame him?
Here's Will with most of his class and his best friend Jason on the far left.  At least Will is trying to smile here heh.

More recently, we tried to take some holiday pictures with just us and they didn't come out so great.  But here is what we salvaged from that night:
When looking at Will in this next picture, can't you just picture him saying, "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse." (for those of you who completely missed that, go see The Godfather):

As you can see I wore my festive T-Shirt.  Not sure if any other posts are coming up anytime soon, so if I don't see everyone, Happy Holidays!

Jen's Wedding Celebration...again

Thanks to all that came to Jen's wedding celebration part 2!  It was good seeing everyone and I have tons of photos to show off, but I wanted to get this video out there for those that missed it or just couldn't see it.  I was tasked with the dubious honor of making this video.  I had a month to complete it but in typical Bryan fashion, I made it two days before.  For those who want to see this full screen, press the button on the lower right of this video with the arrows pointing away from the center:

It wasn't professional grade I realize, but it was my first iPhoto project, and hopefully I will get better as I play with it more.

Am I Really That Old?

This was back in November but Cherise got us tickets to go to see Weezer who is on their Memories tour.  We went over to the Gibson at Universal to see them play their Pinkerton album along with some old hits.  During the concert they said that Weezer has been around since 1992.  Freakin' 18 years?!  Man, I remember when they released their Blue album and they were the new cool band...and now they're the veterans of the alternative rock scene.  Man I'm old!  The grandparents were kind enough to take Will for a few hours that night so we could get some time alone...with a few thousand other people:
Cherise has one of these pictures too, but she won't give it to me.

Great concert, especially after 2 beers.  I'm a lightweight now!  I took some videos, but at these types of concerts it never comes out great...and you end up hearing me over the band:

Yeah that big dude at the back of the stage was Hurley from lost:

They named their most recent album after him so it was cool when he came out.  I have never seen lost and really have no idea who he was before Weezer named their album after him, but I guess it's still worth mentioning.

Round Round Get Around, Will Gets Around

Now that Will has started to walk, we are starting to take him out more for the sole purpose of letting him walk around.  So we went to the mall, which has been to before, but has never actually walked there.  Letting him walk is waaaay easier on my back and...well it's just so darn cute:
video
The boy is fearless!  He even freaked out that guy on the bench that was sitting there and watching him.  He pretty much wants to walk everywhere we go and gets fussy if we don't let him.  Though sometimes in high traffic areas we still have to carry him, we try to let him walk as much as possible.  First, it lets us takes these videos.  And more importantly, it gets him tired really fast so he can sleep at night.

Forced Friends

So if you have 2 grown ups that are good friends, does that mean their children have to be good friends?  Unfortunately, in this case, the children have no choice so I guess we can answer that question some other time.  On Nov. 30th another white boy was added to the Quinnan clan.  It took me a while but I finally made my way over to visit the cute little Cameron Quinnan:

I was honestly shocked at how small these little things were even though Will is still small.  But right now I'm in the phase where carrying Will makes my back sore.  I almost dropped the baby due to his choice of beanies but I resisted as I know it was his father's poor choice.  Sins of the father?

Anyhow, we tested the waters and threw Will at Cameron to see if they would gel:

Which reminded me of:
Ok, so Will isn't ugly like that and Cameron isn't balding like that, but the size difference is there.  Will is still around 21 lbs. and Cameron is almost 8 lbs.  I guess Will wanted to take this chance to intimidate Cameron and show him how it's gonna be when they grow up.

Be Careful What You Wish For

The polls are closed!  It's official, the boy can't be stopped because he's walking everywhere.  It took him just over 12 months, but he's walking everywhere unassisted now.  The only real problem he has is that everyone still wants to carry him like a baby.  That slowed his walking progress for the past few months, but hey he has the rest of his life to walk.  Speaking of which:

video
I know it was just a short clip but you get the idea.  I won't make you sit through a 5 min video of him walking just to prove a point.

Other than walking, he is also developing some other skills:

He can't be contained!
